Moraine makes textile landscapes for people who want more on their walls than another print. Each piece starts with a place that has stayed with us: a dark lake, low light, wet ground after rain. We turn those memories into pieced cloth. Moraine is named for the material a glacier leaves behind, a trace of where it has been.
The collection is designed in Toronto. It is shaped by a lifelong familiarity with sewing and by an interest in how cloth, proportion, and a line of stitching can change a piece.
Moraine began with textile landscapes made for friends. The response led to the idea of producing the work in small, carefully made editions while keeping it within reach.
Each piece is designed in Canada and hand sewn in an edition of 10. Small differences in stitching and fabric are natural from one piece to the next.
